Township voters will be asked in November to approve a five-year, 2-mill replacement levy for general operating expenses.

The levy originally passed in 1978 and generates about $200,000 annually. If approved, the replacement levy would bring in about $400,000 per year, said James Scharville, township administrator.

The levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $46 per year, he said.
