WEDNESDAY
Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1128 State Road, Champion, will have a rotisserie chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals will feature a quarter chicken, four sides, rolls and dessert. Cost is $7 for adults, and meals of chicken tenders will be available for children 4 to 10 at a cost of $4. Meals will be free to those 3 and under. Carryouts will be available. THURSDAY
Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through homemade chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door and a volunteer will bring the meals to your car.
Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s meal will feature soy sauce pork chops or chicken strips. Cost is $5. To order in advance, call 330-799-8133 on Thursday.
VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.
FRIDAY
Guilford Lake Ruritan Club, Route 172 at Hanna Drive, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu will include scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, bread, ice cream and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.
SUNDAY
As part of its Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza after the 4 p.m. Mass.
TAKING ORDERS
Happy Hearts Junior Croatian Tamburitzans is having a summer strudel sale. Strudels are made of hand-pulled dough by the parents organization and are sold uncooked and frozen, ready to bake. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for stuffed cabbage. Cost is $12 per dozen and $6 per half dozen. Christ Lutheran Church, 250 Sexton St., Struthers, will have a strawberry festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19. There will be a bake sale, jams, jellies and strawberry shortcake.
