WARRIORS PROGRAMS

Warriors Inc., a nonprofit organization that seeks to develop youths, offers a variety of social and economic programs to help people excel. For information on Warriors or the programs below, call (330) 783-5440.

Bike club: This club educates youths on safe bicycle riding and prepares them physically to ride various distances.

Chess club: The game will be taught, played and studied. This program uses chess as a tool for mental development and to improve critical thinking.

Expressions of life: This class is intended to present youths with outlets to express their emotions creatively and constructively. Activities include dancing, creative writing, photography, cartooning and acting.

Financial literacy: This workshop demonstrates the value of financial planning, goal-setting and thoughtful decision-making.

Gardening club: This club teaches youths to become active through gardening and to understand the earth’s valuable resources.

Hooked on fishing, not on drugs: This is an Ohio wildlife program that focuses on preventing drug use through fishing and aquatic-resources education.

Mentoring program: This program provides stable and caring adult mentors to help youths age 14-21 attain their goals and build leadership skills.

Totally you girl: This program offers a variety of activities to accommodate the specific social, physical and spiritual needs of young women ages 9 to 25.

Warriors of manhood: This enrichment program focuses on educating and empowering young men ages 9 to 25.

Youth leadership training: Using a Christian perspective, this program educates youths in leadership skills and how to apply them in everyday life.
