AARP 3104 of Canfield will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church, where blood pressure screenings will be from noon to 12:45. Phil Davis, certified exercise instructor, will speak on the Silver Sneakers program. The board will meet at 10 a.m. June 28 at the church. Seats are available for a trip to the June 18 Indians/Pirates game and tailgate party at PNC Park. The cost is $53. Reservations will be taken for the following trips: July 10, to the Tall Ships at Cleveland; Aug. 25-28, to Lancaster and Gettysburg; Sept. 15, mystery trip; Oct. 9, Fallingwater and Autumn Fest; and Nov. 30-Dec. 2, New York City. AARP 4339 of Austintown will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, where blood pressure screenings will be available at 12:30. The program will feature a speaker from Mill Creek Park. Tickets will be available for the July 13 picnic. A tour is planned for Aug. 19 to Chautauqua.
AARP 4545 Boardman South will not meet in July and August. The next meeting will be Sept. 2 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St., to celebrate June birthdays and anniversaries. After a business meeting, bingo will be played.
Golden Pillars will meet for a liturgy at 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the monthly meeting at noon at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Eleanor Hnat will preside, and Bob Hnat will be honored at Father of the Year. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and cards and bingo will be played. Members are asked to take their own table setting for a luncheon.
J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Final plans for a picnic will be made.
K.C.-Ettes of Poland will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the K. of C. Hall in Poland for a picnic. Cards and games will be played. Hostesses are Ruth Burns, Frances Jeswald, Rosella Fiumara, Bernadette Becker and Eileen Zornjak.
Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Wanda Conner will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. St. Anthony Senior Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at DeMarinis Hall for dessert and coffee provided by Rose Napoli, Rose Giampietro, Rose Lavanty, Phyllis Constantine and Anna Mae Canizaro. The speaker will be Vincent Schuyler of Senior Services of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department. Reservations will be taken for the July 13 picnic at Tod Park in Girard. St. Joseph Goldenagers of Austintown will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Lyons Hall for the annual June picnic. Evelyn Menaldi will preside, and Carol McClain will read the thought of the day. Cards and bingo will be played, birthdays will be honored., and there will be a 50-50 raffle. Get-well wishes will be sent.
