Lowery book based on true crime story
WARREN
Anne Lowery of New London, a daughter of a former Warren area police officer, has published her first book, “Rumor Has It,” a true crime story about the 1974 murders of Joseph and Edward Hooker at their home in rural Ashland County.
The plot includes the controversy that erupted in the small town of New London when officials decided to build a reservoir outside the village in order to supply drinking water to the town, the murder of the brothers, and the gossip that the author contends led to their deaths.
The book can be ordered online at www.thunderhillpublishing.com/rumorhasit.
