CANFIELD
Due to the fact that Independence Day falls on a Sunday this year, the 45th annual Independence Day Parade and celebration in Canfield has been scheduled for July 5.
The nonprofit July 4th Planning Committee has scheduled nearly 100 units to participate in the parade. Taking part will be Scottish bagpipers, marching bands, vintage automobiles, floats, military color guards, clowns and dignitaries.
The day will begin with a Firecracker Fun Run, followed by the parade, games for children on the village green and a concert in the gazebo.
