Garden Guild flower show winners named

CANFIELD

Beverly Patrick judged the entries submitted at the annual St. Michael Garden Guild flower show on May 19 at the parish center and announced the winners at the dinner.

Based on the theme, “Welcome to Grandma’s Garden,” an entry submitted by Mary Ann Silvestri was named the Best of Show for Design, and the entry presented by Claudia DiRienzo was declared the Best of Show for Horticulture.

Blue-ribbon winners for arrangements were: Anita Gorman, Silvestri, Mag Mitchell, Liz Rehlinger, DiRienzo, Nancy Price, Cookie Beeman and Diana Calinger.

Blue Ribbons in horticulture went to: Trudy Defino, Mitchell, Gorman, Silvestri, Rehlinger, Marge Yerman, Jane Bolton, Geri Tomko, Pat Hoyle, Kathy Rees and Jerry Pasternick.

Doe Gallagher presided at the event; Jeri Bertison was the clerk; Yerman and Calinger assisted with placement of arrangements; and Beeman, Gallagher, Hoyle and DiRienzo, assisted with horticulture arrangements.
