Sessions in the area
Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. Send the information to the Religion Desk by e-mail to religion@vindy.com; by fax to 330-747-6712 and marked for religion desk; or by mail to The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, Ohio, 44501-0780. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.
Who: Central Christian Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
What: The theme is “Praise Party.”
When: June 14-18, starting at 5:30 p.m. with a light supper followed by 30 minutes of music, then children will divide into groups.
Where: Central Christian, 2051 E. Market St., Warren.
Details: Children will be divided into three groups: one for ages 3-5, one for those who have finished first through third grades and another for fourth and fifth grades. Children will rotate among Bible study, recreation and drama and crafts, ending with a snack at 8:15. The program is free but registration is appreciated so there will be enough supplies. Call the church office at 330-372-1676 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
Who: Chestnut Ridge Church of God.
What: The theme is “SonQuest Rainforest.”
When: 6 to 9 p.m. June 14-18.
Where: Church, 7215 Chestnut Ridge Road, Hubbard.
Details: The program will feature crafts, team-building games, Bible songs and treats. Children who register by 4 p.m. Thursday and have perfect attendance will receive a free T-shirt. For information, call the church at 330-534-0084.
Who: Leetonia Mennonite Church.
What: The theme is “SonQuest Rainforest.”
When: 9 a.m. to noon June 14-18.
Where: Church, 764 Columbia St., Leetonia.
Details: The program is open to children from preschool to sixth grade. The church is co-hosting with other area churches. For more information, call the church at 330-427-6827.
