STATE SOFTBALL / Poland falls, 1-0

The Poland High softball team’s pursuit of its first state championship fell short on Saturday afternoon as the Bulldogs lost, 1-0, to Hebron Lakewood at Akron’s Firestone Stadium. Freshman Kelsi Thompson’s homer run to lead off the second inning produced the game’s only run. Poland finishes 30-2.
