Staff report

Lisbon

U.S. Route 30 in Columbiana County will be closed to traffic for 70 days beginning Tuesday just west of the state Route 11 Interchange at West Point for a bridge-repair project.

Starting at the intersection of Route 30 and state Route 45 in Lisbon, traffic will be detoured east on state Route 154 to Route 11, south on Route 11 back to Route 30, and the reverse.

Ohio Department of Transportation contractor for the $629,000 project is A.P. O’Horo Co. of Youngstown.

State Route 9 also will be closed to traffic about three miles north of New Garden in Columbiana County for a culvert replacement project for two weeks starting June 14.

Traffic on Route 9 and Route 172 will be detoured east on Route 172 to Route 30, east to Route 45, north back to Route 9, and the reverse.

The road will be closed for 14 days, while ODOT’s contractor, Bud’s Inc. of Nashport, Ohio, replaces the slab bridge over an unnamed tributary to Guilford Lake with a precast concrete box culvert. The cost for this project is $178,843.
