German police say a renowned exiled Iranian artist and filmmaker has been missing for 11 days and authorities are trying to determine his whereabouts. Berlin police spokesman Guido Busch said Friday they currently have no information on where Daryush Shokof is. He said that “as of now we don’t have any evidence that a crime took place.”

The 55-year-old Berlin resident was last seen May 24 in Cologne, where he planned to board a train to Paris. James Jimenez also was convicted Friday of trespassing at the SoHo Grand Hotel during the filming of the comedy “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People.” The verdict ended a case that brought the actors to the witness stand — twice. Jimenez was retried after his initial jury deadlocked on burglary charges, while convicting him of another trespass charge.

Carradine’s widow files wrongful-death suit

LOS ANGELES

David Carradine’s widow filed a wrongful-death lawsuit Thursday against a French company handling the actor’s last film, claiming it failed to provide proper services to protect him. The lawsuit is against MK2 S.A., a French company responsible for the production of the movie “Stretch.”

The lawsuit claims the company promised to provide Carradine the best possible amenities and an assistant to help him navigate Bangkok but left him behind for dinner on the night before the actor was found dead. Carradine, 72, was found hanging naked last June in a suite at a luxury Bangkok hotel. The lawsuit does not offer any additional details about Carradine’s death. Thai authorities have never released the results of their investigation. Heather Mills’ nanny loses court case

LONDON

A judge on Friday rejected claims by a nanny that she was mistreated by Paul McCartney’s ex-wife, Heather Mills. Sara Trumble told an employment tribunal in southern England that she was hired to look after Mills and McCartney’s daughter Beatrice, now 6, but was relegated to domestic chores after returning from maternity leave in 2008. She also claimed that Mills forced her to work long hours without extra pay.

Tribunal judge Steven Vowles dismissed Trumble’s claims for sexual discrimination and unfair dismissal, saying he “did not find the claimant to be a persuasive witness.” Mills had denied the claims, saying she had treated 26-year-old Trumble like a daughter. She said the relationship turned sour when she refused to give the nanny money to pay for breast enlargement surgery.
