The Northern Ohio PGA is hosting the first Kenny Novak Junior Tournament Saturday at Mill Creek. Over 130 junior golfers are scheduled to play, including numerous from the Mahoning Valley. Tee times begin at 9:40 a.m.
In other tournament news, the St. Charles Athletic Club is hosting its annual golf outing Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ABC and Remax take the field. ABC returned to the diamond May 24 and took on a very skilled Remax team in the girls T-ball division.
ABC came out swinging in the first inning as Gianna Pinciaro, Brianna Valentini and Marlee Catanzarite hit singles to load the bases for ABC’s clean-up hitter Hannah Hagerty. She didn’t disappoint, smashing a line drive into the gap and sending her team into the lead.

Ella Catanzarite stood out at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while teammate Alexia Spangler, went 3-for-3 with one run scored. Samantha Aey stole two bases and scored three runs for the ABC team. “It was a tough game today, but the girls battled the whole way. I’m very proud of them,” said Team Manager Sandy Queen after the game.
