The Lloyd Elementary PTA hosted its first “Making Memories with Mom Night” May 10 and 11 at Lloyd Elementary School.
Invitations were extended to all Lloyd students and their moms or significant females to attend a night of fun and make new memories.
Dads volunteered their services to help in set-up and throughout the evening.
The evening started off with a photo opportunity for students and moms. While the pictures were being printed, the guests made picture frames. They painted the frames and decorated them with various embellishments.
They were then served dinner, which was donated by Walmart Supercenter of Austintown.
They enjoyed a variety of desserts, many of which were also donated by Walmart, and others were made by PTA volunteers.
A total of 213 students and 182 adults, which included moms, step-moms and grandmothers, attended over the two nights of the event.
PTA President Lynn Mickey said the PTA wanted to do something special for moms around Mother’s Day.
