Copper, tools stolen from Girard school
GIRARD
Police responded to a call around 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the site of the new Girard junior/senior high school, 1244 Shannon Road, where a theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.
One hundred copper fittings from a storage locker on the first floor on the west side of the complex were taken. The fittings were a “propress” model, T-shaped with Viega stamped on the side. The value is $1,000. Also reported was a theft of tools and toolboxes and specialized knee pads, valued at $1,000.
