Pot found in Canton baby's system, couple charged

CANTON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Ohio say they charged a couple after their 1-year-old daughter was found with marijuana in her system.

The couple surrendered on Tuesday in Canton on misdemeanor child endangering warrants.

Authorities say the charges resulted from tests done last fall when the sick baby was treated at a hospital. It wasn’t specified how the marijuana got in her system.

Deputies say they believe the child has recovered.
