New Castle police investigating baby's death

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Police are investigating the death of an 11-month-old city girl, calling it suspicious.

Police said they went to Jameson Hospital in response to a report of a child not breathing at 9:26 p.m. Monday.

Police said the girl lived on the city’s west side, but provided no further details.

An autopsy was conducted June 1, and results are pending. Police said that anyone with information should call 724-656-3585.
