New Castle man charged with sex crimes


NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A Moravia Road man is accused of sexually assaulting a victim, now 24, since the victim was 6, Pennsylvania State Police here said.

The abuse continued from 1992 to 2006, state police said.

Patrick Kofalt, 53, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, sexual assault, sexual abuse of children, and endangering the welfare of children.

He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail on $125,000 cash bond.
