New Campbell councilman sworn in

Joe Mazzocca Jr., 42, was sworn in to fill the unexpired term of his father, Joe Mazzocca Sr., at Wednesday’s Campbell council meeting.

Mazzocca is taking over for his father, who resigned last month for health reasons, in the 3rd Ward.

He was nominated by council and voted in unanimously out of two applicants for the seat. The other applicant was Janet Kust.

Mazzocca Sr.’s term expires in November 2011.
