Pelini guest at United Way dinner

The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will welcome Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini as the keynote speaker for the “Champions Among Us” dinner, June 29 at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction followed by the dinner and program at 6:30 p.m.

Joining Pelini will be Kyle McCarthy, who will be honored by the United Way as the local champion who has represented the Valley in a positive manner.

McCarthy, coming off a standout football career at Notre Dame, recently signed a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos.

He and Pelini are both Cardinal Mooney High graduates.

Table sponsorship opportunities are available for $400 and include reserved seating for eight. Individual tickets are available for $75 each. Half page and full page ads are available for the event program book.

In conjunction with the dinner is the United Way Golf Outing on June 30 at Knoll Run Golf Course. Golf Foursomes are available for $400. Hole sponsorships are also available for $100 each.
