Part-time cop pleads guilty to menacing-by-stalking charges


YOUNGSTOWN — A part-time Lowellville police officer, who is on leave from his job, has pleaded guilty to two counts of menacing by stalking.

One of the charges is a fourth-degree felony and the other was reduced from that level to a first-degree misdemeanor.

Jeffrey A. Christy, 31, of Salt Springs Road, Niles, entered his plea today before Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, who will sentence him at 9 a.m. Aug. 5.
