YOUNGSTOWN

An expedited hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court to determine if Forum Health can continue to use its cash collateral to operate.

The hearing, approved by Judge Kay Woods, shortened the time for objections, which must be filed with the court by 9:30 a.m. today or presented in person at the hearing. Forum Health, which is in negotiations with Tennessee-based Ardent Health Services to buy the hospital system, filed for bankruptcy in March 2009.

Naked man caught

Police received multiple calls about a naked man standing in the road near the corner of North State and Cherry streets about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police found Zachary E. Lovitz, 20, of the 900 block of Keefer Road, Liberty, with his pants and underwear around his ankles and wearing one shoe. Police ordered Lovitz, who was intoxicated, to pull up his pants, and he finally complied. After being secured by police, he lunged at one of the officers, trying to lick his badge.

Lovitz was charge with disorderly conduct, public indecency and underage consumption. He was released to his parents. He appeared Tuesday morning in Girard Municipal Court and was released on his own recognizance. Another court date will be set later.

A 61-year-old Youngstown man told police that two men jumped him outside of a Market Street discount store.

The man said he was leaving Family Dollar about 5:20 p.m. Friday, and was about to get into his vehicle when he was grabbed from behind.

He and the man who grabbed him fell to the ground, the man told police, and a second suspect grabbed a house key from the man’s key ring.

Both suspects got up and ran south through the parking lot toward Hillman Way, a police report said.

Ejected from ATV

Megan Jones, 27, of state Route 170, was in fair condition late Tuesday in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after she was ejected from a four-wheeler at 47585 Pancake-Clarkson Road at 12:27 a.m. Sunday.

A report by the Columbiana County sheriff’s office said she was a passenger in a four-wheeler driven on a trail by Eric Dow, no age available, of Negley. Cody Rohrmamn, 22, of Rogers, was following on a second four-wheeler. The report said Dow turned his vehicle sharply and Rohrmann’s vehicle hit the back of Dow’s vehicle, which resulted in Jones’ ejection.
