Boy Scouts mark centennial with car wash Saturday

Members of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 2 at Poland United Methodist Church are marking the 100th anniversary of Scouting with a carwash.

Troop 2 Scoutmaster Rod Emerson has challenged troop members to wash at least 100 cars in recognition of the 100 years of Scouting being celebrated this year. Donations will be accepted. Money will go to Poland United Methodist Church as a thank-you for sponsoring the troop.

The carwash will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road.
