Betras re-elected at Mahoning County Dem leader

BOARDMAN — Mahoning County Democratic Chairman David Betras handily defeated Georgiann DeCenzo to be re-elected to a four-year term today.

Democratic precinct committee members backed Betras by a vote of 180 to 64 against DeCenzo, the newly elected state central committeewoman.

Also re-elected were Kenneth Carano as executive vice chairman and John Vivo as secretary.

Carano defeated Ed Aey 182 to 59 while Vivo beat Beth Stanko 186 to 55. Maurina Hanna withdrew as a secretary candidate before the vote.
