The wedding of Melissa Sue Santen and Craig Joseph Paulitz took place May 1 in St. Paul the Apostle Church.

Parents of the bride are William and Barbara Santen of Boca Raton, Fla., and Mr. Paulitz is a son of John and Mary Ann Paulitz of Hubbard.

Monsignor Frederick J. Brice officiated, and a reception followed at Deer Creek Country Club in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

The couple honeymooned on an Alaskan cruise.

Megan Homstrom was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Gina Mager, Christina Price and the bride’s cousin, Amy Lutz.

Performing the duties of best man was Christopher Paulitz, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Tod Burkhart and John Claytor.

Mrs. Paulitz earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Florida and a master’s in nursing at Florida Atlantic University. She is employed as a palliative-care nurse practitioner at Harbor Palliative Care Services in Boca Raton.

Her husband holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Youngstown State University and a master’s in nutrition from Kent State University. He is a clinical dietitian at Delray Beach Medical Center in Delray Beach, Fla.
