Austintown fall sports’ student-parent meeting

The district-wide fall sports’ student-parent meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Fitch High School Auditorium.

Individual team meetings will follow the general meeting. Student-athletes participating in fall sports, grades seven through 12, and their parents are expected to attend this OHSAA-mandated meeting.

Register for August diabetes golf benefit

Ankle and Foot Care Centers, operators of 19 local foot care offices, will host the 12th annual American Diabetes Association Golf Benefit, a four-person scramble Aug. 16, at the Lake Club in Poland.

A shotgun start is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., following sign-in at 10:30. The $90 fee per golfer includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, beverages on the course, awards and dinner at the newly-renovated Lake Club.

Golfers can register by calling Michael Vallas at 330-629-8800.

The tournament raises money for diabetes research, through Ankle and Foot Care Centers and the Tri-County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

Clark aces No. 12 at Reserve Run

Jon Clark of Austintown aced the 303-yard, par-4 No. 12 hole at Reserve Run. The feat was witnessed by Dan Hale and Joe Varacalli.

Touchdown club kicks off season

The Austintown Touchdown Club will put on its kickoff dinner/reverse raffle Aug. 6 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center. Dinner starts at 7 p.m. Call 330-559-9548.
