July 19:

Carrying concealed weapon: Police arrested Melvin Johnson, Jr. 25, 2048 McClure Ave., Youngstown at East Main Street and Talsman Drive on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of drug abuse. Police said they found a pistol with a loaded magazine under the front seat of his car, and a bag containing two whole and a two half tablets of Oxycodone and acetaminophen and 2.8 grams of crack cocaine.

July 22

Mutual Aid: The police canine officer responded to a request to aid Boardman police in a traffic stop, and a dog track of the suspect. The track of the suspect, who fled on foot was stopped by Youngstown police and Boardman initiated an investigation with charges pending.

July 25

Drugs: Police arrested Roberto Vega, 30, 4115 Canfield Road for drug abuse for possession of two Vicodin pills at East Main Street and CVS.
