A 64-year-old Warren woman was arrested Wednesday evening on allegations of intentionally hitting a man with her car, police said.

Violet Huseman arrived at 74 Charles Ave. and saw a man cutting brush on the property. He had been hired by the Boardman Township zoning office to help clean up nuisance properties.

According to police, Huseman screamed at the man to get off her deceased mother’s property, punched the man in the lower lip and then got into her car and accelerated forward, pinning the man’s legs under her front bumper.

Her front license-plate plastic cover snapped off as his backside slid down her front bumper, police said. The man was not seriously injured.

Huseman was taken to the Mahoning County Justice Center and faces a charge of felonious assault.
