Former Ohio state representative dies at 87
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Former state Rep. Robert Netzley, who served 40 years in the Ohio House, has died. He was 87.
Netzley, of Laura, was elected in 1960 and served until 2000 — what the House says is longer than any other member in its history.
House GOP leader William G. Batchelder, R-Medina, says Ohio has lost one its greatest legislators in Netzley.
Batchelder says Netzley was a courageous leader who was dedicated to the conservative philosophy.
