ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at A La Cart in Canfield. The speaker will be Sara Greier from the Mahoning County Farm Bureau, who will talk about “Agriculture in Mahoning County — Past, Present and Future.” Joining the members will be the scholarship winners for 2010-2011: Gina Torek of Boardman and Robert Gross of Canfield. Dinner will cost $17.50 and include Swiss chicken and baked ham, potatoes, green beans, salad, and dessert. The deadline for reservations is Monday. The network Council of the Mahoning Valley of American Business Women’s Association is gearing up for the annual style show on Sept. 19 at Mr. Anthony’s. Western Pa. Cory Reunion Assoc. will have its 101st Cory Reunion at 1 p.m. on Aug. 8 at the East Palestine city park. Take a covered dish and an inexpensive item for the white elephant auction. Tables 25 and 26 have been reserved. Officers are Jim Lisica, president; Gary Lisica, vice president and web master; and Diana Maye, secretary.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

McDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

Flora MacDonald Auxiliary will meet at noon Aug. 7 for a picnic luncheon at the home of hostess Ela Elvines.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School June and January Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant, Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. All classmates and guests are welcome.

CLUBS

Time Bank will have its first Monday monthly luncheon from noon to 1:30 Monday at Kravitz Delicatessen, 3135 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. This lunch time meet and greet is to network with service exchange members, discuss new and old skill swaps and Time Bank projects. Lunch is your cost.

Warren Women’s Connection will sponsor “Heart Strings of Life” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 9 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road, NE, Warren. Free nursery is available by reservation. The luncheon will feature Marian Mihas, vocalist and harpist. Inspirational speaker will be Letitia Hicks, retired RN, who shares her rules for life. Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following meetings: ASG@JOANN ETC at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joann Etc., 7386 Market St., Boardman for a hands-on workshop on making fleece caps and mittens for children. Members are to take fleece, cutting tools and mats; and Niles Silver Thimbles at 10 a.m. Thursday at Viking-White Sewing Center, 40 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles, for a crocheted necklace demonstration by Joanne Fowler.
