“Speed the Plow,” at Oakland Center for the Arts, 220 W. Boardman St., Youngstown, written by David Mamet and directed by Milan Paurich. Auditions will be in the Star Gallery from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Three roles are available, including two men ages 35 and up and one woman in her 20s. Those interested should have some familiarity with the works of Mamet and should bring a favorite passage from one of Mamet’s works or be prepared to read from the script. “Macbeth,” at Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown. Auditions are 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 8 and 9. Callbacks will be Aug. 11 or 12. Roles are available for three young men (ages 10-16) as well as adults to age 65. Those auditioning are asked to prepare one classical monologue or sonnet. “Crimes of the Heart,” by Beth Henley, directed by Kandace Cleland at Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon. Auditions are 7 p.m. Aug. 18 and 19. “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” directed by Paula R. Ferguson at New Castle Playhouse Annex Theater, 212 E. Long Ave., New Castle, Pa. Auditions will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 23. Cast requirements: five females and two males, ages 25 and over. You will be asked to read from the script. Prepare a vocal selection of your choice. An accompanist will be available. “Oklahoma,” at Trumbull New Theatre, 5883 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles. Auditions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 26 and from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 29. Be prepared with a song from “Oklahoma.” Provide sheet music if singing something else. Cast requirements: three females, ages 18-40; two males, ages 18-35 and large chorus of adults and some children ages 9 and up. Requires singing, acting and dancing.
