1080 Media 3-0 at CABA; Rondinelli wins first game

1080 Media remained unbeaten in the CABA World Series with a 10-5 win over the Michiana Scrappers on Wednesday at Cene Park. Tyler Chapin pitched a complete game, scattering nine hits, for 1080 Media, while Anthony Raschilla had three hits, including a home run and a triple.

Matt Shelton and Jim Dobran added doubles for 1080 Media, while Kyle Tisdale and Justin Vrable had run-scoring hits. Dobran’s double knocked in two runs. Caleb Fenimore had three hits for the Scrappers, while Cody O’Neal homered and Zac Pfafman hit a triple.

Rondinelli 21, Lancers 15

Rondinelli won its first game of the tournament as Cody Kirk went 5 for 5 with three runs for Rondinelli. He hit a triple and a double. Dan Ferguson had three doubles for Rondinelli, while Tony Koch hit a triple and a double. Dom Defelice, Brock McGivern and Brent Messett all hit doubles. John DeWalt homered and triple for the Lancers, while Tyler Wiest hit a double.

Pro Swing 21, Rondinelli 12

Rondinelli fell behind 12-0 and rallied to within two runs before Pro Swing scored seven runs in the seventh. Ferguson had three hits and four RBIs for Rondinelli, while McGivern and Jason Burkes hit triples. Messett, John Kovalik and Cody Kirk hit doubles. Drew Felsenthal and Colin Moran homered for Pro Swing, while Brett Michael and Rich Dropkin had doubles.

Chardon Blizzard 12, Rondinelli 0

Rondinelli was held to one hit by the Blizzard’s Mike Maxwell. Chris Leiby had Rondinelli’s hit, a single. Ross Lamarca ,Rodney Lewis, and Ryan Weed all had two hits for Blizzard.

1080 Media 11, Stark Terriers 6

Shelton’s bases-loaded triple gave 1080 media a 3-0 lead and Anthony Raschilla gave them the lead for good with a three-run homer, his second of the tournament. Joey Aulizia, Cavan Cohoes and Tisdale all had three hits for 1080. Cohes and Tisdale hit triples. Matt Harmon was the winning pitcher.
