Rescue group seeks food for dogs in need

NORTH JACKSON

Northeast Ohio Labrador Retriever Rescue is conducting a food drive to benefit homeless dogs.

With more homeless dogs than ever to care for, there is a need for dog food, dog treats and toys, new or used blankets or towels, paper towels and laundry detergent.

Donations can be dropped off at First Federated Church on Mahoning Ave. or Gem-Young Insurance on state Route 45, both in North Jackson.

Anyone making a donation and leaving their name and phone number will be eligible to win a basket of goodies. The winner will be chosen Sept. 1. For more information contact 330-538-2215 or e-mail dcpress@cboss.com.
