SCORE luncheon honors 5 successful businesses
YOUNGSTOWN
The Youngstown Chapter of SCORE 112 recently had a luncheon at the Youngstown Country Club to honor five successful local small businesses.
A SCORE success story represents the success of a counselor-client relationship that has produced tangible results in aiding the start-up, growth or success of a small business.
The Monday Team of counselors, which includes Burt Smith, Steve Ostrolenk, Harold Sacherman, Bill Nitch and Chuck Whitman, introduced Rita Ebenshade and Betsy Kirkwood.
Ebenshade owns Tie 1 On Creations, and Kirkwood heads Artists at Work, Inc. Both businesses thanked SCORE for the judgment and advice given and look forward to more encouragement and business advice.
The Wednesday Team of counselors, which includes Warren Jensen, Bill Doliber, Fred Wittow, Griff Thomas, Ed Stahura, Walter DeBald and Chuck Creager, introduced Daniel K. Clark of Integrated Vascular Services. That company has an established office in Salem. The company installs temporary vascular parts for intravenous feeding and other medical treatments. The company has seven employees, six of whom are registered nurses.
Also honored was All-Pet Nanny, Inc., owned and operated by James and Rebecca Manning. The company, based in New Springfield, is a pet-sitting and care business. The owners want to expand and add a photo booth rental feature to the business.
The Thursday Team of counselors includes Dave Penner, Flora Pamer, Helen Stambaugh and Sam D. Roth. This SCORE Team presented Steve Badurick from Badurick’s Butcher Block, in Mineral Ridge.
Badurick has almost 20 years of experience working in the retail meat business. His desire to own his own business, the support of his family and the commitment to hard work and long hours are the key to his success, along with the advice on financing and marketing from SCORE.
