CANFIELD CITY

July 19:

Carrying concealed weapon: Police arrested Melvin Johnson, Jr. 25, 2048 McClure Ave., Youngstown, at East Main Street and Talsman Drive on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of drug abuse. Police said they found a pistol with a loaded magazine under the front seat of his car and a bag containing two whole and two half-tablets of Oxycodone and acetaminophen and 2.8 grams of crack cocaine.

July 22

Mutual aid: The police canine officer responded to a request to aid Boardman police in a traffic stop and a dog track of the suspect. The track of the suspect, who fled on foot, was stopped by Youngstown police, and Boardman initiated an investigation with charges pending.

July 25

Drugs: Police arrested Roberto Vega, 30, 4115 Canfield Road, on charges of drug abuse in the possession of two Vicodin pills at East Main Street and CVS.

July 19

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Sean Page, 37, 5800 Yorktown Lane, on a disorderly conduct charge at his home.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $20 bill was brought to the Austintown Police Department, 92 Ohltown Road.

Recovered property: A 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass was recovered at the dead end of Bowman Avenue.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle tires were slashed at an apartment in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A female stole merchandise at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave., but she was not located.

Theft: Pills were stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

July 20

Theft: A purse and contents were stolen from an auto at Speedway, 4401 Kirk Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Ave.

Theft: Prescription pills and a car seat were taken from an auto at Walmart.

Breaking and entering: Tools were taken from an unattached garage in the 1000 block of Ohltown Road.

Recovered property: A weed trimmer was recovered in the 1000 block of Ohltown Road.

Disorderly conduct: Misty Kubic, 32, 143 S. Edgehill Ave., was issued a summons on a disorderly conduct charge in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Warrant: Tera L. Tuchek, 20, 5633 Baylor Ave., was arrested on warrants charging petty theft and failure to appear on a probation violation because of theft. Local charges included obstruction of official business and possession of dangerous drugs at a home in the 1000 block of Atlanta Ave.

Breaking and entering: A weed trimmer and orbital sander were stolen from an unattached garage.

Theft: William Mack, 22, 878 Plazaview Court, Youngstown was arrested in the theft of $23 worth of items at Walmart.

Aggravated burglary: A man beat the front door down with a baseball bat at a home in the 5000 block of Red Apple Drive.

Aggravated menacing: An ex-boyfriend threatened to kill a woman at a home in the 90 block of Idlewood Road.

Drug offense: A prescription bottle was stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Carlisle Ave. and the prescription filled.

July 21

Failure to comply: Police charged Michael Harris, 19, 4519 New Hampshire Place. No. 1, with failure to comply in the 5000 block of East Rockwell Road after they said he was in a hit-skip accident. Police chased him by car and by foot. After he was apprehended, Canfield police charged him with felony hit-skip and resisting arrest.

Theft: A postal package was taken from an apartment in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: An air-conditioning unit was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Menacing: A man is accused of menacing at the Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Telecommunications harassment: A man is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 5000 block of Kirk Road.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Theft: An unidentified woman returned stolen items at Party On, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Breaking and entering: A garage was broken into at a home in the 1000 block Ohltown Road.

Counterfeit currency: Twelve counterfeit $20 bills were passed at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

July 22

Theft: A cell phone was stolen at the Clubhouse, 4661 New Hampshire Circle, and recovered by Girard police.

Menacing: A man is accused of menacing at a home in the 3000 block of Starwick Drive.

Theft: A GPS system was stolen from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.

Breaking and entering: Copper pipe was taken from Renu Roofing, 166 S. Meridian Road.

Drug offense: David Block, 51, of 1075 Ohltown Road, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a glass crack pipe, at his home.

Theft: Jeremy Bradian, 26, of 148 Melbourne Ave., Boardman, was arrested in the theft of four PlayStation 3 games and four movies valued at $334.72 at Walmart.

Auto theft: A 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was stolen at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen at Seven-Seventeen Bank, 6460 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: A woman is a suspect in identity theft at an apartment in the 500 block of Wilcox Road.

Burglary: Televisions and PlayStations were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

July 23

Drug offense: Mark Davis, 44, of 5204 Sheridan Road, Boardman, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: A wallet was recovered with credit cards missing at Aldi, 5863 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A dark, wooden dresser with nine drawers was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of North Redgate Lane.

Burglary: A PlayStation 3 was taken from an apartment in the 800 block of Compass West.

Burglary: Books and a fish tank were taken from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Theft: Jeremy Bradian, 26, of 335 Mathews Road, Boardman, was charged with taking $181.36 in Blu-ray discs at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A fuse-box-panel cover was stolen from an auto in the 6000 block of Wyndclift Circle.

Recovered property: A bicycle was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Canfield Road.

Auto theft: A 2008 Cavalier was wrecked and returned at a home in the 6000 block of Abbott Avenue.

DIsorderly conduct: Police arrested Hale N. Burkholder on charges of disorderly conduct with intoxication at Mahoning Ave. and Four Mile Run Road.

Burglary: An unidentified man entered a residence in the 40 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.

Domestic violence: Robert K. Lewis, 53, of 3774 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.

July 24

Drug offense: Joseph M. Kenesky, 28, of 7773 Martin Road, Garrettsville was arrested in the 5000 block of Clarkins Drive on drug charges, Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

Public indecency: Charles Alexander, 32, 3394 Sandalwood Lane, was issued two summonses for disorderly conduct and public indecency at his home.

Theft: A purse, diaper bag, $100 and a Kohl’s gift card were stolen from a vehicle, and some items were recovered at a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road.

Theft: A wallet and contents were left on a counter at Red Diamond, 4437 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: A check for $226.75 was passed at Golden Food Mart, 4290 New Road.

Domestic violence: Earl Quinn, 37, of 4852 Shadow Oak Drive, was arrested on a domestic-violence charge.

Menacing: Threats were made by an unidentified man at a home in the 6000 block of Abbott Avenue.

July 25

Warrant: Daniel Rice, 34, of 16 Holly Drive, No. 44, Liberty, was placed in county jail after being arrested at North Meridian Road and Interstate 680 on a warrant charging telecommunications harassment.

Aggravated menacing: A man is accused of menacing in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle windows were damaged at a home in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.

Theft: An iPod was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Burglary: A vacant apartment was entered and damaged in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Recovered property: A man’s wallet and contents were recovered and returned to the Austintown police station.

Theft: Clothing and a GPS were stolen from an auto at a home in the 1000 block of Chadwick Lane.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Rhea Maher, no address or age, charging her with theft at Walmart.

Theft: A truck was entered and a gas card taken at Penske Truck Rental, 350 Victoria Road.

Domestic violence: James Cox, 21, of 79 Indianola Road, Boardman, was arrested on charges of felony domestic violence, criminal trespassing and criminal damaging at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.

Drug offense: Richard Bradley Parks, 37, of 1944 Penny Lane, was issued a summons charging him drug paraphernalia at Mahoning Avenue and state Route 46.
