A peaceful blast at Mill Creek

If you weren’t at the Morley Pavilion last Friday night, you should have been.

Mill Creek Metro Parks 7 Up Summer Spectacular presented national recording artist WAR. My husband and I were probably about 10 years old when they were at the top of the charts. They’re still putting out a great sound. And, just like when I was 10, it was hard to sit still. Even in 95 degree temps I couldn’t keep from wanting to dance.

We witnessed blacks, whites, young, and old, all coming together, enjoying the same things. A beautiful park, sun kissed sky, friends, a cool breeze, and even cooler music. It was a blast.

God is still good and good things do happen in Youngstown and the surrounding area. Thank you Mill Creek Park for letting us catch a glimpse of heaven.
