Beard Road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday from state Route 165 to the border of Mahoning and Columbiana counties for a culvert replacement.

Spraying for mosquito control for the city is scheduled for after 6 p.m. Wednesday. Should it rain, the alternative spraying date will be Thursday.

All those with respiratory problems should remain indoors with the windows closed.

Food should not be prepared or left outside during the spraying period. Pets should be taken indoors.

Bridge project will close Route 30

HANOVERTON

U.S. Route 30 will be closed Friday for 15 days in Hanover Township in Columbiana County for a bridge- repair project over Sandy Creek. Route 30 will be closed to traffic just west of the junction of state Route 9 in Kensington.

The detour will begin at the intersection of U.S. 30 and state Route 183 in Minerva. Traffic will be detoured north on state Route 183 to state Route 172 in New Franklin in Stark County, then east on state Route 172 to state Route 9 south in New Garden and back to U.S. 30, and the reverse.

ODOT’s contractor for the $299,799 project is Buds Inc., from Nashport, Ohio. The overall completion date is Sept. 30.

Labrador group’s summer food drive

Youngstown

Northeast Ohio Labrador Retriever Rescue’s summer food drive is under way through Sept. 1. People can help by donating food and other supplies at participating drop-off locations. Anyone who donates will also be eligible to win a basket of goodies.

Drop-off locations are First Federated Church on Mahoning Avenue and Gem-Young Insurance on Route 45, both in North Jackson.

NAME: Robert M. Barnes

AGE: 29

HEIGHT: 5 feet 11 inches

WEIGHT: 155 pounds

EYES: Hazel

HAIR: Brown

CHARGE: Aggravated robbery (two counts); kidnapping (two counts); and auto theft (two counts).

Anyone with information on this suspect should call 866-4WANTED. Callers do not have to identify themselves. Cash rewards will be given to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
