Season to date: Before Sunday’s race, Blaney was in 41st place in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings with 622 points. He was 114 points behind No. 40 Max Papis.

Next: NASCAR’s top series is off to the Poconos for Sunday’s Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500. ESPN will televise the 1 p.m. race.
