Parents announce Berg-Kivlighan engagement

The parents of Kimberly Berg of Poland and Michael Kivlighan of Boardman are announcing the couple’s engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Theresa Berg of Poland, and the prospective groom is the son of Thomas and Barbara Kivlighan of Canfield.

Miss Berg earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication sciences and disorders at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She is employed as a speech language pathologist at Tudor Physical Therapy at the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

Mr. Kivlighan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Ohio University. He earned a juris doctorate at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is a self-employed attorney in Youngstown.

The couple plan to be married in an open ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Holy Family Church. Invitations will be extended for a reception at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
