FRANKLIN, Pa.

An experimental-plane has crashed in western Pennsylvania, killing one person and injuring another.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Holly Baker says the plane went down about 11:20 a.m. Saturday in woods southeast of Franklin/Venango Regional Airport in Sandy Creek Township.

Baker says two people were on board the plane, but she didn’t have their names. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital.

The plane was a Nadiq, a fixed-wing, single-engine craft generally built by hobbyists and amateurs.
