Chamber enters into agreement with Chinese province

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will sign a memorandum of understanding with the international trade group of China’s Shandong Province, the chamber announced Friday.

Representatives from the chamber and Shandong Province’s China Council for the Promotion of International trade will sign the memorandum at a ceremony in the D.D. & Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center in Mill Creek MetroParks’ Fellows Riverside Gardens at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The five-year agreement will formalize trade and economic exchange between Youngstown and Shandong, a province with 90 million people and a gross domestic product of $450 billion, the second highest GDP in China.

The signing is the result of the chamber’s recent international initiatives, including a business trip to China and Taiwan.
