'Wine Taste Extravaganza' will benefit Croatian church

Members of the centennial committee for Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, are preparing for the upcoming “Wine Taste Extravaganza.”

The Rosetta Stone Café will be the site of the fundraiser, planned for 3-6 p.m. Aug. 1. The wine taste is one of many scheduled events that will benefit the church for its 100th anniversary in 2011.

In addition to a sampling of wines, the affair will feature hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle.
