Police charged three people with shooting at six individuals on the porch of a West LaClede Avenue home early Thursday.

Dana D. Penson, 33, of Boardman, and Loraine D. McKinnon, 40, and Richard Hickson, 34, both of Youngstown, were taken to Mahoning County jail around 2 a.m.

Penson and McKinnon are both charged with complicity to felonious assault. Hickson is charged with improper discharge of a firearm.

They will be arraigned on the charges today in municipal court. According to police reports, McKinnon got into an argument with the homeowner, which resulted in the homeowner’s throwing McKinnon out and calling police to get a restraining order.

After Youngstown police officers left the house, two men approached the house yelling threats, and then a white Cadillac with three occupants sped by. All five opened fire at the house and then fled, police said. Officers stopped Penson, McKinnon and Hickson in a car on Market Street and arrested them after finding a handgun near the car, police said.
