Ruth Shrine invites public to rummage sale
POLAND
Ruth Shrine 64, Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road (Route 170), will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday to benefit a Shriners Hospitals for Children burn center.
Among the items for sale will be antiques, electronics, clothing, kitchen gadgets, baked goods, hot dogs and cold drinks.
Donations may be dropped off until 3 p.m. today. Anyone who has donations that need to be picked up should call Vada Graham at 330-788-3936 or Karen Bush at 330-757-8837.
The proceeds from fundraisers go to Shriners Children’s Hospitals in Erie, Pa., and Cincinnati. The hospitals treat children regardless of creed, sect or ability to pay.
The hospitals operate on donations from the public as well as from members of the Shriners and Masonic organizations.
Local Shriners operate “Youngstown Wheels of Mercy.” They transport children and their families to and from the hospital free of charge and provide the children with toys and games.
