New plant hiring first workers

Construction on Reinforcement Systems’ new manufacturing plant has entered the final stages, and the company has started the hiring process for available positions.
The 98,000-square-foot facility, on the southwest corner of West Market Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, is expected to be ready for initial production by early September, said company owner Mark Marvin.
The plant will make welded wire reinforcements used in concrete.
The facility is expected to have 55-65 employees, including office staff, within two years, he said.
