Tom Petty concert rescheduled

The Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert originally scheduled for Tuesday at Blossom Music Center has been rescheduled for Aug. 31, also at Blossom

The concert was postponed at the last minute after Heartbreakers’ guitarist Mike Campbell became ill.

He was admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure after fainting at Sunday’s show in Missouri, which took place in intense heat and humidity.

Tickets purchased for the July 20 concert at Blossom will be honored Aug. 31. The Drive-by Truckers will still be the opening act.

Saturday’s Tom Petty concert at First Niagara Pavilion near Pittsburgh has not been affected and will go on as scheduled.
