Vietnam veterans honored Friday in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — State Rep. Chris Sainato of New Castle, D-9th, and American Legion Post 343 will host a ceremony honoring Vietnam War veterans in the 9th Legislative District at 6 p.m. Friday at the post home, 134 Jefferson St. The district includes Lawrence and Beaver counties.

Sainato said each veteran will be presented with a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in recognition of his or her service and sacrifice in that war, which ended with the fall of Saigon in South Vietnam in 1975.
