Missing Liberty woman found this morning

Dorothy H. Hepburn, 82, who had been missing from her Keefer Road home since about 5 p.m. Monday, was found at 9 a.m. Tuesday in a wooded area behind the 1100 block of Lois Lane, about a half-mile from her home.

Melvin Hepburn reported his wife had left their home for a walk but did not return. He told police she may suffer from dementia.

Two homeowners on Lois Lane and Liberty Avenue found Hepburn and carried her out of the wooded area. Liberty Fire and Rescue responded, and Hepburn was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

About 100 searchers, police and fire personnel from Liberty, Girard, Hubbard, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and volunteers, were involved.
