Elderly woman sends nearly $4,000 to bogus company

WARREN

An 84-year-old Plaza Drive Northeast woman reported Saturday morning that she sent a check for $3,964 to a company in Spain that told her over the phone to send the money so she could receive her lottery winnings.

Huntington Bank reported that the check was cashed.
