Columbus radio disc jockey drowns in Michigan
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A popular disc jockey at a Columbus radio station has drown while on a family vacation in Michigan.
Alternative music station WWCD says John Andrew “Andyman” Davis drown Saturday.
Davis started working as an on-air personality for WWCD in 1991. He’s been programming director there since 1998.
WWCD says Davis was the voice of the station’s afternoon drive program.
He was known for hosting a 48-hour Christmas fundraiser called Andyman-a-Thon, in which he would receive pledges to play song requests.
