Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Terihay of Naples, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 18 in their hometown of Youngstown, surrounded by family and friends.

The day began with a renewal of their vows in the church where they were married, St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Joining them at the altar were their two children, who served as matron of honor and best man. The event culminated in a reception in their honor at Michael Alberini’s Restaurant in Poland.

Hosting the event were the couple’s children and their spouses, Todd and Brenda Terihay of Tampa., Fla., and Scott and Julie Geltemeyer of Naples. Also in attendance were the Terihays’ grandchildren, Shelby Terihay and Tyler Geltemeyer. Another granddaughter, Sarah Geltemeyer, is deceased.

Shortly after he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Terihay married the former Julie Ann Maxim on June 18, 1960.

The couple lived in Youngstown until they moved to Naples in 1982.

Mr. Terihay retired in 2008 from the Lutgert Co., where he served as property manager.

The couple, who still reside in Naples, are members of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
